HALF DAY PRETORIA CITY TOUR
Pretoria is informally known as ‘the Jacaranda City’, for its beautiful purple lined streets when the jacaranda trees are in full bloom. Take this opportunity to stand in front of the heart of the country overlooking a city built on passion and determination, where buildings are architecturally significant and a nation congregates around statues of past leaders. Highlights include Paul Kruger House, Church Square, Voortrekker Monument, Union Buildings and City Hall.
HALF DAY SOWETO & APARTHEID MUSEUM TOUR
Discover Soweto and the surrounding area, driving past well known landmarks such as Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, Orlando Power Station, Nelson Mandela’s old house (Entrance fees not included), Desmond Tutu’s House, the Hector Pieterson Memorial (Entrance fees included), a shebeen and Walter Sisulu Freedom Square. Afterwards head to the Apartheid Museum and spend a couple of hours exploring the museum and discover the history of the Apartheid era.

FULL DAY SUN CITY & PILANESBERG NATURE RESERVE TOUR
Travel through the Crocodile Ramble and visit the popular Chameleon Village near Hartbeespoort Dam, boasting various African arts and crafts, en-route to Pilanesberg National Park. Enjoy a closed vehicle game drive, seeking out the Big Five in the Pilanesberg National Park, which is abundant in various plains game and birds life, followed by a guided tour of the famous Sun City Resort including the Valley of the Waves and Waterworld (entrance fee not included). Sun City is not only a luxury casino and resort but is also a flagship structure associated with times during the Apartheid South Africa. Bordering this entertainment complex, you will find one of the world’s outstanding geological phenomena; a crater of a long extinct volcano and the result of eruptions some 1,200 million years ago – The Pilanesberg Game Reserve. This area of 572 square km is not home to most southern African species but also home to the Big Five, namely lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard.

HALF DAY SOWETO TOUR
The legacy of apartheid, and the incredible stories of the immense resistance to it come intensely to life on this expertly guided tour of the vibrant sprawl of Soweto – a vast township that grew from a forced settlement in 1904 that aimed to segregate races and ethnicities in early Johannesburg. You’ll get a fascinating glimpse of bustling neighbourhood life as you drive by the former residences of two South African Nobel Peace Prize winners, as well as visit icons of the ‘struggle’ such as the Hector Pieterson Memorial, the Regina Mundi Church and Freedom Square. You’ll also visit several inspiring projects to experience Soweto’s on-going striving for community development, and pass by Africa’s largest hospital, Chris Hani Baragwanath.
